Sowing the Seeds of Happiness

Our My garden started out as just a patch of dried out, dying grass with a sad shed tucked in the corner. It didn't look like much, but I knew that with the right care and a lot of attention, I could turn it into something beautiful. I find so much pleasure in watching my plants grow and flowers bloom - especially those that I've grown from seed.

A study conducted by the University of Westminster and University of Essex found that just 30 minutes a week in the garden can have a positive effect on your mental health. Also, apparently having plants, going for a walk in a park or even looking at a landscape poster can produce psychological benefits, reduce stress and improve concentration. I read this online and in Good Housekeeping... so it must be true!
