I find a little browse through Pinterest at the lovely projects and little DIY ideas usually motivates me for my blog. If I want to start a new project on the house or garden, have a little idea of what I want to achieve but am unsure where to start or what to use to start creating, I will search Google, BlogLovin or Pinterest for inspiration.
REMIND YOURSELF WHY YOU'RE DOING THIS
Every project in life, small or big, starts with a goal in mind. Whether it's a personal goal or business related; plan and document the final result you wish to achieve. When you lack motivation, revisit your plan to remind yourself of your goals and why you are making this change in the first place.
TAKE A BREAK
When you are completely snowed under with work, you can feel as though you have no time to stop and must carry on until you complete your project. However, having a break can reset your mind and help you truly focus on the work ahead.
SET A REWARD
A meal at your favourite restaurant or a night of binge watching Netflix for when you've completed your task that you have been putting off for so long. I love eating; I consider how much food I can fit into my body in one sitting a skill (and no one is taking that away from me!!) so I reward myself with my favourite chocolate bar. I've been completing a lot of tasks recently, this may be why my waist line is growing!!
BLAST YOUR FAVOURITE PLAYLIST
Taylor Swift, Michael Jackson or the Beatles? Who ever your favourite artist, blast them loud and blast them proud! Listening to music always gets my creative juices flowing and makes me want to be productive - whether it's to go for a run, tidy the house (aka dancing around the house with a bin bag/duster) or to blog. My personal favourites to get me up and moving are 90's pop and hip hop hits (no diggity).
