February's Alphabet: E is for Exeter

I live in a beautiful city in the South West called Exeter. I've worked in Exeter for a while and before moving here, I would commute from a village and town in the surrounding area were I lived. I've always loved the history, architecture and shopping. Not to mention; Exeter is the city where J.K. Rowling went to university and most importantly got a few ideas for her Harry Potter books.

Diagon Alley is Gandy Street; a cobbled windy thin street in Exeter city centre; The Leaky Cauldron is The Old Fire House pub... fantastic pizza; The Great Hall high ceiling came from inside Exeter Cathedral and Mardon Hall, Exeter University, although I've never been is apparently where she got the idea for the Gryffindor Common Room (I also want to add that my laptop hasn't put a red squiggly spelling line under 'Gryffindor'... IT'S REAL!).

As well as the city itself; there are so many other beautiful places close by. Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton beaches are two of my favourite places to go if I want to relax.

If you're ever after fancy a weekend break; come on over to Exeter!
